VIKING COCA-COLA ANNOUNCES POWERADE ATHLETES OF THE YEAR WINNERS FROM B B E High School

Viking Coca-Cola is proud to announce Jacob Weller and Haley Breagelman as two of the recipients of the Powerade Athlete of the Year Award. The students were awarded with the title of 2016 Powerade Athlete of the Year and $1000. A check presentation did take place at RJ's in Brooten and Coop's in Belgrade on December 16 
Public voting took place during the month of November. Along with Weller and Breagelman eight other students from Central Minnesota received the Powerade Athletes of the Year Award. Students were nominated by school officials based on their school pride, and commitment to their studies and community. 
Powerade Athletes of the Year is an extension of Viking Coca-Cola's Powerade 4 Schools Program. Since 2011, Viking Coca-Cola has been dedicated to giving back to area high schools and creating positive experiences for high school athletes through the Powerade 4 Schools Program. For every Powerade purchased, Viking Coca-Cola gives a portion of the sales back to participating schools. 
Due to the success of the Powerade 4 Schools Program, Viking Coca-Cola was able to give back to high school students and plans to continue in 2017. Submissions for 2017 Powerade Athlete of the Year will begin O 1/01 /17 and commence on 02/28/17. Public voting will begin 04/01/17.
